It was fairly easy to get in. AP Credits Help. The Honors Program didn't really help me out, but I noticed a huge difference in how classes were taught. Honors classes moved along and I felt like I was learning something. The regular classes were full of strange people who would sometimes show up in pajamas whilst eating bags of Funions.

I just got accepted to Temple as a transfer. Right now, I'm going to community college in NJ, and I'm a bit surprised that I got in. The last time I checked my HS GPA, it was 2.5. However, there was a technicality (seriously) regarding that, and I took a ton of honors classes my senior year and did much better, so I assume it went up. I submitted an application after my first semester, and I got a 3.2. Not bad. I also wrote a pretty good essay and got an awesome letter from a professor of mine who got his PhD from Oxford, so that worked to my advantage. They got back to me in less than three weeks which was great. I had a lot of activities also. Temple likes that.

DO NOT go here if you need to take student loans out. The financial aid office is horrific. I have been trying to get my financial aid applied for 2months now. I have mailed my forms, faxed them, and sent and email with scanned copies twice and still no luck. The only responses I get to my emails are "Your bill is past due." I have tried calling them, but there is not enough time in the day to get through. The average wait time to talk to a person is 54 minutes. That is if you don't get hung up on 20minutes into the phone conversation. (I have been hung up on 3 times). The only time I managed to speak to someone, they said my paperwork is fine and my loans will be applied. I have "no reason to worry." That was 1.5 months ago and still nothing. Every person I talked to has had the same problems. There are even YouTube videos of students getting hung up on!

Seriously don't go here unless you are paying cash!!!

I had a good GPA in high school, weighted like 3.85 or something, I can't remember. I also did very well on my SATs (2160), but that stuff didn't get me into Temple, it got me into Temple Honors. Temple is pretty easy to get into.
